In the 1 May 2023 IPL match between Lucknow Super Giants {LSG} and Royal Challengers Bangalore {RCB}, there is a ground lot of heated arguments between players of both teams. Particularly, there was a heated exchange between Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir, and Naveen-ul-Haq, which resulted in them being fined under Article 2.21 of the IPL Code of Conduct for breaking the rules. The fight on the field started during the 17th over of the match, when Naveen-ul-Haq and Amit Mishra were batting. Naveen and Virat had a heated argument, which further escalated the situation. During the match, Virat Kohli also got very angry in the middle.
At one point, Virat Kohli caught Krunal Pandya’s catch and in response, Virat gave a ‘shut you’ reaction in the same style as Gautam Gambhir did in the previous match against RCB. Due to this action Virat, the tension between the two teams increased further.
Royal challenger Banglore {RCB}won this match by 18 runs and after the match, all the players were shaking hands even then Naveen-ul -haq and Virat Kohli made more comments and gradually Gautam Gambhir also joined this argument and this argument continued. And later after everything was normal, Virat Kohli also met the owner of Lucknow Supers Gant.
